Hybrid Load Banks for AI Rack Simulation

Gradian Hybrid load banks simulate the real heat load of next-gen AI racks. Configure full-air, full-liquid, or a combination of both, all in one self-contained cabinet designed in the same footprint to match real production hardware.

  • Up to 300 kW Combined Load -

  • All-Air, All-Liquid, or Hybrid Operation

  • GB200 / GB300 / Vera Ruben Simulation

  • Group Control up to 200 Racks

Key Features

What makes a Gradian Hybrid Load Bank?

Simultaneous Liquid + Air Loading

Up to 150 kW liquid and 100 kW air load in a single hybrid unit, for a combined standard capacity of up to 300 kW.

SCR Load Control

SCR load control delivers smooth, precise, and repeatable load ramping across the full range, for accurate simulation rather than step-change loading.

AI Ready Rack Simulation

Fluid and power connections that match GB200, GB300, and Vera Ruben  AI racks let commissioning teams validate cooling infrastructure before production hardware ever arrives.

Solving the Problems That Slow Down Commissioning.

A load bank job does more than just draw power. It answers those crucial questions that put deployment at risk: Gradian delivers complete precision catered to your exact testing environment. Through bleeding-edge hybrid technology, you can remove any doubts, giving your team and stakeholders true operational peace of mind.

Validate Before It's Live

Testing air and liquid cooling separately doesn't tell you whether they'll actually work together under a real load. Finding out after the GPUs are installed is an expensive way to learn it. One unit exercises both cooling loops and power paths the way a real AI rack behaves.

  • Simultaneous Liquid + Air Loading - Exercise both cooling loops together, not one at a time.

  • Production-Matched Connections - Mimics the fluid and power connections of GB200, GB300, Ultra, and other AI racks.

  • True-to-Life Validation - Test CDUs, manifolds, power, and airflow the way the rack actually runs.

Test in the Rack Slot, Not Around It

Conventional load bank testing often means working around the final install: temporary manifolds, mechanical modifications, and space constraints that slow commissioning down. Drop the unit directly into the rack position and skip the workarounds entirely.

  • Drop Into the Final Rack Position - Test in the actual install location instead of a separate staging setup.

  • No Temporary Manifolds Required - Skip the workaround plumbing conventional load bank testing often needs.

  • Self-Contained, Freestanding - Move on swivel casters without the space and access issues larger conventional load banks require.

Scale Testing Across the Whole Facility

Commissioning one rack at a time doesn't scale to facility-wide deployment. Coordinating dozens of load banks manually is its own operational risk. A central controller brings every unit under one coordinated test, so facility-wide commissioning doesn't depend on someone tracking it rack by rack.

  • Central PLC Control - Manage load banks from a single networked controller.

  • Group Control up to 200 Racks - Coordinate whole-facility commissioning as one system.

  • Remote Operation - Run and monitor testing over Ethernet without being on-site at every rack.

Built To Match Your Requirements

When millions of dollars of IT equipment are on the line, an off-the-shelf approach isn’t going to cut it. Gradian fundamentally designs its load banks around customer-specific flexibility and full adaptation to your environment.

Liquid & Air-Cooled Load Distribution

Adjust the balance between liquid and air-cooled loads to your specific application. Configure the exact capacity needed for your tests.

Flow & Power Connections

Configure flow connection size, type, and quantity, along with power connector type, amperage rating, and quantity.

Rack Dimensions & Electrical Configuration

Adjust rack height, width, and depth, and overall electrical and mechanical configuration to fit your requirements.

FAQs

Questions, answered.

  • A hybrid load bank is a single rack-form unit that simulates the liquid and air heat loads of an AI rack — either together, or independently as all-liquid or all-air — letting teams test liquid- and air-cooling infrastructure using one piece of equipment.
